Shopping can be exciting yet arduous at the same time. While shopping
in Ubud, the major marketplace in central Bali, we saw many truly
beautiful carvings and works of art. You'll want one of everything!
In the larger villages, you'll find ten or twenty similar stores in a row,
each with the same wares for sale, and every shopowner wants you to buy
from them. But look around before you buy. We walked up some back alleys
and found the same goods for much less and the owners really appreciate
your business. In hindsight, two days in Ubud would have been enough time
to find everything desired.
